The ultimate guide to makeup for beginners

Hey everyone❤️ today we are going to talk about some makeup products that we do need in our makeup bag. The most essential products which are being used to do makeup. I will tell you why those products are important and why we should not skil those product. So keep reading till the end if you are a newbie to the world of makeup.

Primer:

The most essential product is your primer. We should always use primer before applying foundation, concealer, etc. It is specially designed for an even base for the makeup. It will help your makeup last longer depending on the primer.

Foundation:

Foundation is a liquid or powder makeup applied to the face to create an even, uniform color to the complexion, cover flaws and, sometimes, to change the natural skin tone. Some foundations also function as a moisturizer, sunscreen, astringent or base layer for more complex cosmetics.

Concealer:

Concealer is similar to foundation except it’s generally thicker and hides dark circles, age spots, blemishes and more by hiding pigments and blending these imperfections into the skin. You should always apply concealer on top of your foundation so it doesn’t smudge.

Contour:

When one contours correctly, the goal is to make shadows on the face. These shadows are practically magic, as they can be used to give the appearance of a slimmer face, more prominent cheekbones, a stronger jawline, a smaller nose, fuller lips, and more. All of that, with only makeup!

Bronzer:

Bronzer is used to add warmth and dimension to your face, making the skin look flushed with health. It is supposed to be applied after face makeup and before the blush. Bronzer is brushed on the perimeter of the face that includes cheeks, jawline, edges of the forehead and nose.

Highlighter:

Highlighters are light-reflecting products, available in liquid, cream and powder form. They enhance your complexion and give skin a brighter, dewy glow as well as making cheekbones look more prominent.

Setting powder:

Designed to “set” or hold foundation in place, setting powders prevent base makeup from rubbing off and reduce shine for a long-lasting, flawless complexion. Available in two common forms – loose and pressed – setting powders can be translucent or slightly tinted to match skin tone.

Blush:

In a nutshell, blush is used to add a flush of color to the cheeks, while bronzer is intended to make the skin look sun-kissed or tan. As a result, blush tends to come in variations of pink (sometimes with peach or plum undertones), where bronzer is typically brown or gold in color.

Brow pencil:

Eyebrow Pencils are products that apply color to the eyebrows. They are used to fill in and define the eyebrows. They contain special ingredients that apply color where it is needed in a precise and controlled manner.

Brow powder:

Brow powder is great for filling in brows uniformly, and perfect for bolder looks. Because brow powder can get blended easliy than a pencil, it’s often easier for a brow newbie to use. We’re using, a powder and wax duo that comes equipped with an angled brush, blending brush, and tweezers.

Brow pomade:

Eyebrow pomade is a cream-based formula that is usually packaged in a small pot. It will give you concentrated colour which makes it great for faking hairs for sparse areas and for defining brows.

Brow gel:

If you’re lucky enough to have brows that are already dark and defined, brow gel can be a great finishing product for you. It’s kind of like hairspray for your brows — it’ll keep them in place all day, but it doesn’t change the color or shape of your eyebrows.

Eyeshadow:

Eye shadow is a cosmetic that is applied on the eyelids and under the eyes. It is commonly used to make the wearer’s eyes stand out or look more attractive. Eye shadow can add depth and dimension to one’s eyes, complement one’s eye color, make one’s eyes appear larger, or simply draw attention to the eyes.

Liquid eye liner:

Liquid eye liner is an opaque liquid that usually comes in a small bottle and is typically applied with a small sharp-tipped brush. It creates a clean, precise line. … Because liquid eye liner gives a much heavier appearance, it is often only applied to the upper lash-line.

Gel liner:

Gel liners create solid color instantly without having to layer, and they can be super crisp when applied with a thin brush. They can also be smudged out farther than other types of liner. The truly talented can even use gel liner as a creamy eyeshadow.

Pencil liner:

Pencil liner is a solid formula that’s usually made up of a blend of waxes, silicones, and oils. Pencil liners can also be easily smudged making it easy to create a smoky, sultry look. These eyeliners aren’t just for newbies, though.

Mascara:

Mascara is a MAKE-UP, cosmetic commonly used to enhance the eyelashes. It may darken, thicken, lengthen, and to define the eyelashes. The most common form of mascara is a liquid in a tube.

Eye shadow primer:

The answer to all of your smudged-up eye makeup woes lies in one product: primer—eye primer, that is. Just like a face primer creates the ideal base for the rest of your face makeup to stick on to, an eyeshadow primer targets the eye area and makes whatever you put on top more vibrant.

Liquid eyeshadow:

To put it simply, liquid shadows are pigment in an easy-to-apply liquid form. The texture isn’t quite as thick as cream eyeshadows, but it goes on smoother than powder shadows and can be fully blended in just a few seconds. Despite its liquid form, it dries quickly when applied to eyelids.

Liquid lipstick:

Liquid lipsticks are the lip equivalent to makeup one-coat wonders, meaning you can achieve the opaque pigment you want with one swipe. That said, if you want to make the color more dramatic, go ahead and apply coats two and three.

Lipstick:

Lipstick is a cosmetic that applies color, texture, and protection to the lips. Many colors and types of lipstick exist. Some lipsticks are also lip balms, to add both color and hydration.

Lip gloss:

Lip gloss is a cosmetic used primarily to give lips a glossy lustre, and sometimes to add a subtle color. It is distributed as a liquid or a soft solid The product is available in ranges of opacity from translucent to solid, and can have various frosted, glittery, glossy, and metallic finishes.

Lip liner:

Lip liner, also known as a lip pencil, is a cosmetic product. It is intended to fill in uneven areas on the outer edges of the lips before applying lipstick to give a smoother shape.

You just have to follow these step-by-step So first one is to clean your face means cleanse.

Cleanse

This is a very simple step you just need to wash your face with any face wash you prefer or any face cleanser. I would prefer that you should use mamaearth vitamin C foaming face wash. It is the best product which I have used and I really loved this product. It will cost you around 300-400 rupees.

There are two types of cleanser first is oil based cleanser and second is water based cleanser. So now what is oil based cleanser? When you apply makeup on your skin then there is an another layers on your skin. makeup and sebum — the waxy substance produced by your skin that can cause acne if it builds up — are both oilbasedoil cleansers break them down and lift the impurities, allowing you to wipe them away. So I think whenever you apply makeup you should prefer this oil based cleanser.
What is water based cleanser?A waterbased cleanser can be either foaming or non-foaming and is used to remove waterbased impurities, including sweat and dirt.

Exfoliant

Exfoliation involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost surface. Exfoliation is involved in all facials, during microdermabrasion or chemical peels. Exfoliation can be achieved by mechanical or chemical means.
Best exfoliant product which I have used is DermDoc gentle exfoliating face scrub it affordable. Around 100-200 rupees

Toner

Toner removes any last traces of dirt, grime and impurities stuck in your pores after you wash your face. When added to your daily skincare routine and used regularly, it can have major positive impact on the appearance and tightness of your pores. Best product which I have used is good vibes- rose toner.

Essence

Essence is a concentrated formula that specifically targets wrinkles, fine lines, and dull and uneven skin tones. The main ingredient is yeast, which helps restore vital balance by promoting the skin’s natural 28-day surface renewal process. Best product which I have used is this product.

Serums and Ampoules

Usually, serums are thought to have a more viscous texture then essences. Ampoules are considered to be more concentrated version of a serum, think of it as a booster shot. They often contain a higher number of active ingredients and are used for a finite amount of time.

Best product which I have used are

Sheet masks

Sheet masks are face-shaped sheet fabrics soaked in nutrition-packed solution called serum. The sheet is made up of variety of materials including papers, fibers or gel types. Sheet mask is generally used once and it is individually packaged, making them fast, convenient, and easy to use.

you use any types of serum mask. I have tried all and it gave me a satisfying result.

Eye-cream

Eye creams are formulated specifically for the delicate skin around the eye, so they tend to be thicker. They contain more oil than a regular facial lotion, and they have a lot of active ingredients aimed at the problems we see around the eyes.
Best product I have used are

Moisturiser

Moisturizers are emulsions of oil and water (plus other ingredients for nourishing, treatment, and preserving) that help replenish hydration, keeping moisture in skin and dryness out. Experts say that hydrating is crucial for keeping skin youthful and healthy, even if you don’t have dry skin.

Best moisturiser I have used is

Sunscreen

Sunscreen, also known as sunblock or suntan lotion, is a lotion, spray, gel, foam, stick or other topical product that absorbs or reflects some of the sun’s ultraviolet radiation and thus helps protect against sunburn. You should always use sunscreen whenever you go out.Best product I have used is

And now you are ready to do all these steps. Try this everytime and you will see the result. You will not need any heavy makeup on your skin. Selfcaring time girls!!❤️
